Washington Pro Football Encyclopedia: Redskins and Commanders
Here it is! I’m excited to say that my next book, the Washington Pro Football Encyclopedia: Redskins and Commanders, is set to hit the shelves heading into the 2026 season.
This book, an update of my 2007 book The Redskins Encyclopedia, brings to light the team’s history and tradition in the most comprehensive account ever written about our nearly century-old pro football franchise in the nation’s capital. In addition to new year-by-year summaries of the past two decades of the team, you’ll see new player bios on Tress Way, Ryan Kerrigan, Lorenzo Alexander, London Fletcher, Terry McLaurin, Trent Williams, and, of course, the late and great Sean Taylor. I also took a much deeper dive into the origin of the name Redskins and added sidebars, such as Alex Smith’s miraculous recovery from his gruesome injury in 2018 and the approval of the Commanders’ new stadium in D.C. Plus, I updated the appendix with new information on all-time team records, Pro Bowl selections, draft picks, and year-by-year records through the 2025 season.
This coffee-table book is a definitive reference for any Redskins-Commanders enthusiast!
