On May 7, 2023, Coach Butch McAdams led a wide-ranging interview with Mike Richman on the history of the Washington Redskins. The two covered topics such as the creation of the Redskins’ name and logo, the integration of the team, the start of a winning tradition under coach George Allen in the 1970s and the franchise’s glory years under coach Joe Gibbs in the 1980s and early `90s. The interview, which aired on WOL Radio (1450 AM and 95.9 FM) in Washington, D.C., was meant to time with the release of Mike’s upcoming book, George Allen: A Football Life. The book is expected to hit the shelves on Oct. 1, 2023.
