In a 2019 VA communications contest, Mike Richman won Best of Show for communications excellence for his “Efforts to Assist Veterans” feature series. The series featured his three articles on highlights in VA research: A VA researcher using religion as a therapy to help Veterans with PTSD; a VA researcher who is exploring trends and characteristics related to Veterans who collide with the criminal justice system; and how two volunteer programs are helping Veterans reintegrate into society and improve mental health.
